What is Cyberlab?

Virtual Infrastructure for Cybersecurity

UBT Cyberlab is a dedicated hands-on training environment where UBT CERT configures, deploys, and maintains intentionally vulnerable machines (IVMs) within UBT's secured network.

Students access labs through a controlled VPN connection, working on real-world scenarios with no risk to production infrastructure.

Why Cyberlab?

From Theory to Real Practice

Cybersecurity is not learned from textbooks alone. Cyberlab provides real experience: real hacking, real malware analysis, real incident investigation — all in a legally controlled environment.

Students graduate from UBT with demonstrable skills and a proven mindset — not just a diploma.

Training Domains

6 Cybersecurity Domains

Each lab is built with real-world scenarios, progressive difficulty levels, and structured learning paths.

Red Team

Web Application Penetration Testing

Labs dedicated to web application security testing. From OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities to advanced authentication bypass and privilege escalation techniques.

SQL Injection XSS IDOR CSRF SSRF Broken Auth
Red Team

Network-Level Penetration Testing

Real-world network pentesting scenarios — from host and service discovery to protocol vulnerability exploitation, lateral movement, and privilege escalation.

Nmap / Recon SMB Exploits Pivoting ARP Spoofing MITM
Blue Team

Digital Forensics

Digital investigation labs where students analyze artifacts from compromised systems, recover deleted data, analyze memory dumps, and build incident timelines.

Memory Analysis Disk Forensics Log Analysis File Recovery Autopsy / Volatility
Blue Team

Incident Response

Full incident response scenarios — from first anomaly detection to isolation, eradication, and system recovery. Live exercises with SIEM and EDR.

Threat Hunting SIEM Triage Containment Eradication Post-Incident Review
Purple Team

Security Automation & Orchestration (SOAR)

Labs focused on security process automation and tool orchestration. Students build playbooks, automate incident response workflows, and integrate SIEM/EDR platforms with SOAR solutions.

Playbooks Alert Triage API Integration SOAR Platforms Threat Intel
Purple Team

Security Hardening

System hardening labs — Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, cloud infrastructure. Students apply CIS benchmarks, configure firewalls, and implement enterprise-grade security policies.

Training Tracks

Three Specialized Tracks

Cyberlab is organized around three interconnected training tracks, covering all aspects of modern cybersecurity.

Track 01
Red Team

Offensive skills — learn how attackers think and operate. Ideal for students targeting careers as Penetration Tester or Red Team Operator.

Web Application Hacking
Network Penetration Testing
Active Directory Attacks
Social Engineering & Phishing
Post-Exploitation Techniques
Track 02
Blue Team

Defensive skills — detect, monitor, and respond to threats. The preferred track for SOC Analyst, DFIR Investigator, and Threat Hunter.

SIEM & Log Analysis
Digital Forensics & DFIR
Malware Analysis
Threat Intelligence
Incident Response Playbooks
Track 03
Purple Team

Collaboration between offensive and defensive teams — coordinated exercises where Red and Blue Teams work together to strengthen system resilience.

How It Works

Accessing Cyberlab

The process is simple, secure, and available 24/7 for UBT students.

01

Enroll at UBT

Access to Cyberlab is exclusive to UBT students, through the institutional authentication system.

02

Sign in to the Local Platform

Labs are accessible exclusively within UBT's local network (LAN). Sign in with your institutional credentials through the internal platform.

03

Choose a Lab

Browse the lab catalog by domain, difficulty level (Easy / Medium / Hard / Expert), and preferred track.

04

Practice & Level Up

Solve challenges, build real skills, and climb the competency ladder. Progress and achievements are automatically recorded.
